October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month!
The temperatures have dropped and the leaves are changing colors. I'm in the mood for chili, cozy blankets, warm drinks, cider donuts, pumpkin patches, and football. With October comes another big thing -- Down syndrome awareness month! We are geared up for our 5th year doing acts of kindness to raise awareness of Down syndrome, and I will be sharing our 31 Facts about Down syndrome on my social sites. And we hope YOU will join us!
Trisomy 21 Acts of Kindness is a campaign that we do every October to spread kindness and raise awareness and encourage acceptance of individuals with Down syndrome. We hope to bring a smile to many people as we do random acts of kindness throughout our communities. Learn More >
A few years ago, for Down syndrome awareness month, I wanted to dig a little deeper into the more common facts that I had often read about Down syndrome and also explore a few areas that I hadn't seen shared often. I continue to share those 31 facts every October, and so do many other people. My friend Amira helped make our fact cards even prettier this year! They are ready for you to use and share!
